Most of the gears used are purely DIY’s. There’s a paper conical snoot for rim light and a taped cardboard for backdrop. Strips of colored plastic envelope for the purple gel! The subject, Wicked Ying sporting a brand new Pioneer HDJ-1000 headphones, sofa king cool huh??

The pricey Canon EX 580 II, (not mine, rented from Marlon) did a very good job as key light through a generic softbox.
